Busy season is upon us! This Saturday, I shoot my first wedding of the 2013 season! The rest of April and May will be spent traveling to San Diego and New Orleans, photographing 4 weddings of my own, and shooting alongside a photographer friend of mine for 2 of her weddings. And well, the fun only continues into June and beyond…
So while I enjoy the “calm before the storm”, I desperately aim to stay on top of my blogging, and today I share photos from my most recent engagement session with Lindsay and Tim. I had a pleasure spending time with them a couple weeks ago. They escorted me around the University of Maryland campus (where they both attended), and then we headed over to downtown Silver Spring for the remainder of the session.

How did you two meet?
Tim says: We actually met one night at a University of Maryland intramural softball game, but she doesn’t remember. I, on the other hand, could not stop thinking about her. We got to know each other by playing on a different softball team together, which is where she thought we met.

Describe your first date:
Tim says: Our first date was at the original Ledo’s Pizza. While it was not an official date, it was a lot of fun and we were able to find out more about one another.
Lindsay says: I remember I got an orange crush and we sat at the bar eating pizza and hanging out. We had been spending the past couple of weeks together out with mutual friends from UMD, but that was our first official date.

Proposal story:
Tim says: I proposed on my birthday and wanted to get the best birthday gift ever. Lindsay had planned a surprise birthday party for me at 8407 Kitchen Bar in Silver Spring, but I actually knew about it. I invited more friends and family than she originally had planned and proposed to her after dinner in front of everyone.
Lindsay says:
When we walked into 8407, there were flowers, a large poster of pictures of us, and way more of our friends and family then I had invited to the birthday party. He told me that from the first time he saw me he never stopped thinking about me and then got down on one knee and asked me to make it the best birthday ever and marry him! I said, “Of course!” and was in complete shock that he had just proposed to me in public. We got to share the rest of the night with friends and family, which was something that I really appreciated in the end!
